Confusion as NASA says it will announce results if IEBC delays presidential results

- If the IEBC delays in announcing the presidential results in August, then, Nasa will announce their own results

- This, according to the alliance, will help curb any attempted rigging from the Jubilee party's end

- According to the Siaya senator James Orengo this move will prepare Kenyans mentally should Jubilee try to doctor results

- NASA will be equipping its agents with high-tech gadgets to scan the presidential results forms and relay them to secure servers

NASA has threatened to announce their own presidential results if the IEBC delayed the announcement.

According to James Orengo- the Siaya Senator, this will prepare Kenyans in advance should the IEBC present conflicting results.

As IEBC will be counting, we will also count. When they transmit, our agents will also transmit,” Orengo stated.

Orengo was in the company of MP Opiyo Wandayi o (Ugunja) Homa Bay woman rep Gladys Wanga, and Christine Ombaka.

The Kenyan constitution requires that only the IEBC announces the presidential election results after a General Election.

The IEBC has up to 7 days to announce the winner of the poll. NASA on the other hand says that their secure servers will receive data 8 hours after the tallying begins.

Previously, IEBC had warned that NASA announcing own results might results in chaos epecially if the IEBC presents a different figure.

At a recent interview with NTV, Raila Odinga claimed that his team was prepared to tackle Jubilee if there is a rigging atempt.

The dire warning comes in the wake of investigation into utterances the National Super Alliance presidential candidate made while on the campaign trail in Kajiado county.

Apparently, Raila was quoted as telling non-Maasai residents to return to their home because they are causing poverty to be rife within the pastoral community.
