Controversial political analyst in trouble over his video on Nkaissery's 'killers'

- Mutahi will have to pull down a video in which he speculated who Nkaissery killers were if ICT CS Joe Mucheru’s word can hold water

- The government has rolled out talks with YouTube in a bid to pull down Mutahi’s video

The Kenyan Government has rolled out talks with giant internet company Google over content published by different Kenyans on the platform.

This comes after throngs of politicians took to social media to popularize their agenda in a bid to woo voters ahead of the August 8 polls.

While there are politicians and individuals whose content on social media have no issues, there are those who have been singled out as the key propagators of hate speech, thanks to their numerous controversial posts,key among them is political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi.

According to Joe Mucheru,who is the Information, Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary, the government is mulling over ways to curb the vice, especially as the elections draw near.

"We have seen a lot of activity online during the campaign season and I can tell you that almost everyday, there is someone calling me to take down some piece of inciting content," Mucheru said.

The CS specifically targeted one controversial video posted on Youtube by none other than political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi.

The video, which is one of the many in Mutahi Nguynyi’s ‘The Fifth Estate’ collection on Youtube entails the revelation on the late Nkaissery’s killers.

Ngunyi sensationally claimed that the opposition government is responsible for Nkaissery’s death, sentiments that have been termed hate speech by CS Mucheru who is on the verge of ensuring the video is pulled down from Youtube.

The video, which has garnered over 185,600 views on Facebook speculates on the cause of the sudden death of Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery.

"Did Nkaissery really die or did they force him to die?" Mutahi Ngunyi asks rhetorically in the nine-minute video.

"in my view, Nkaiserry was assassinated." He adds

However, a postmortem conducted on Monday,July 10 2017 revealed Nkaissery died of a heart attack.

The late Nkaissery will be buried on Saturday,July 15 2017,at his home in Ilbisil, Kajiado County.
