NTV to lose two of its best news reporters

-Larry Madowo is set to leave NTV at the end of August to pursue other interests.

-His colleague Victoria Rubadiri is also rumored to be leaving the station in the same month for CCTV Africa.

Larry Madowo started hosting The Trend four and a half years ago attracting a huge following and a high ranking among the youth.

At one point in time it was the most watched live show on Friday evenings before ******* TV's 10 over 10 got into the game.

In a twist of events, two weeks ago the news reporter called it quits to pave way for other journalist to grow their career.

Explaining his exit from the show Larry said "If you look at Friday night TV in Kenya now, everybody is trying to do what I have done. They are copying The Trend. I can’t compete with my students anymore. People are tying to be me and I can’t do this anymore."

TUKO.co.ke has received news that Larry will be exiting NTV in August for greener pastures. His plan is to focusing more on political shows and debates. It hasn't yet been established whether he will be joining another local TV station.

Her news co-host Victoria Rubadiri is also set to be making a move to CCTV Africa this August as a presenter in the hopes of gaining international media attention.

They two also worked together as The Weekend Edition New bulletin news presenters.
